White Star 10 was an interesting match. The enemy team had an 18-6 record, making it a tough battle for us. We were losing, and the enemy had destroyed all our ships except Tricky. In the middle of this, the enemy player Svarog entered our Discord and sent a message:

Thanks for the great attention and for watching the game. It is a pleasure to play with a highly motivated team. We are dominating the battlefield at the moment, but you have a good chance to destroy our transports before they reach the gate. From my point of view, the most interesting part of the game is over. The next part will be tense and annoying for our team because you can just plot something and not actually watch. Since I desperately want to sleep next night, I would like to ask you to consider an agreement:

  1. You will not come into the game with any new battleships.
  2. We give you the opportunity to safely mine your planet (you’ll do it anyway, since we can’t do anything about it). Just please don’t mine more than our team.

I personally would be delighted if you would accept this suggestion.

Tricky responded, “You haven’t killed me yet.” While a huge battle had taken place and all of the Titans except Tricky had been killed, Tricky had snuck behind enemy lines and was making a beeline toward the enemy jump gate. He wasn’t too worried because no players were due to respawn anytime soon. The only obstacle appeared to be the flagship, which Tricky could easily take. Tricky declared, “Never surrender,” while Svarog replied, “Ohhh… I really expected to sleep today… sad…”

By this time, the other Titans were beginning to respawn, and it was still a 0-0 game. The enemy’s transports were en route to the jump gate, and Tricky managed to intercept them, preventing any scores. However, the enemy flagship launched a recoil drone, jumped out, jumped back in, and launched it again, repeating this over and over until the screen was filled with recoil drones. This was too much for Tricky or any ship to handle, and he eventually failed. This sealed the Titans’ fate.

The match sparked a huge debate about the fairness of this exploit, with people from various corporations taking sides. Ultimately, the exploit was quickly patched after this debate, ensuring it would no longer affect any other corporation.
